Teaching Opportunities
Opportunities exist for beaders to teach for the society either at a monthly meeting, or events such as our Retreat or the Expo. We also offer workshops via Zoom.
Applications are open all year round. Just indicate when you would like to teach your workshop. Please complete the Workshop Proposal form and email it to info@beadsociety.com.au
Tutors must provide a written, printed pattern as part of their class. This will be included in the cost of the class. All patterns must be tested by another beader or self.
Travel allowances are available for tutors who live outside of the metorpolitan Melbourne area, as well as an attractive hourly teaching rate.
The Bead Expo is held in November.
Closing date for submitting teaching proposals for the Expo is 15 August, however spaces fill quickly, so the earlier you send your proposals the better.
The Summer Retreat is held in late January.
Closing date for submitting teaching proposals for the Retreat is 15 October, however spaces fill out quickly, so the earlier you send your proposal in the better.

The Bead Society of Victoria is committed to improving the level of beading in Australia and the skill of our members.
We seek submissions from interested tutors for workshops in all forms of beadwork, wirework, polymer and precious metal clays and jewelry techniques
We require three-hour workshops as well as full day workshops that provide the basics for beginners and challenge the experienced beader. Projects need not necessarily be completed in class.
Please complete a workshop submission form to apply to teach for the Bead Society.
