Learn the basics of square stitch incorporating simple patterns.
Using components to build a beadwork project is so much fun because they provide ideas to make more
projects. A beaded square component becomes a stylish pair of earrings, bracelet or pendant.
Suitable for anyone with a little beading experience, but not necessarily square stitch.
Materials:
Colour A Bead and Colour B Bead – choose from either 8/0, 11/0, Delica beads (11/0 or other) OR 4mm
cubed beads. (approx. 5g each). It’s best to use beads from only one manufacturer.
Findings: Earring hooks or clasp if making a bracelet (in colour of your choice)
Cord or similar to attach pendant
Also required: Fireline thread or other thread, preferred needle size, Sharp scissors or thread zapper,
lighting (if required) and beading surface.
