Tutor: Alicia Cleary

In this class you will learn how to bezel around an 8mm chaton using three different capturing techniques – peyote stitch, ladder stitch and right-angle weave. We will be using size 11 seed beads for the capturing and 11s and 15s for the embellishment. The components made will be the centrepiece of a simple ring.

The skills learnt can be applied to other size chatons or rivolis. The components can also be used for earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. How you use them is up to your imagination!

Green – peyote stitch, Silver – ladder stitch, Blue – right-angle weave
