Weekly Bead & Chat — over Zoom

Bead from your home while the rest of us do the same. Show what you're working on, ask for help, see what everyone else is making. 7pm AEST every Wednesday.

Open to all members, no prep required.

Second Sunday monthly

Carnegie Sunday meetings

Workshops, traders, library borrowing, and a room full of beaders. Doors open from 10am, we wrap up by 3pm. $5 entry for members.

7 Shepparson Ave, Carnegie. Lifts available for wheelchair access. Tea & coffee provided — BYO mug.

Annual Bead Retreat

Four days at Melbourne University College: ensuite rooms, all meals provided, traders on site, and a packed workshop schedule. The highlight of the BSV year for many members.

Thursday to Sunday, no cooking, no chores — just beading and getting to know your fellow members.

Four days at Melbourne University College with beaders from across the country, all meals taken care of, ensuite rooms. I plan my year around it. You leave with new techniques, new friends, and a finished project.

I have made some lovely friends at the Bead Society and even though I don't live in Victoria I enjoy joining the Wednesday evening zoom sessions. My favourite thing to do is meet up with these friends and make new ones every year at the summer bead retreat. Four wonderful days of socialising and beading.
