The Bead Challenge is an annual competition where entrants are all start with an identical set of beads.
It is open to the public, not just BSV members .
All of these beads must be used to create a single beaded piece, but more beads or components may be added if required. The finished piece is displayed on and must fit within a 30cm square tile.

2017 Bead Challenge Beads
This pack contained an inspiring, bronzed assortment of Czech shaped beads, semi-precious hematite beads and a vintage style metal key.
A personal choice of complementary beads or findings could be added to the basic set for an inspired piece.
An extremely high standard of workmanship was shown
in the wonderful variety of creative beadwork from all entrants! As always, the display of all entrants work was admired and marvelled at by attendees at the show.
