  Metal Etching & Embossing - Lynda Taylor

  A great introductory class for metal etching and embossing, where you will learn how to add texture & dimension to metal without the use of chemicals.

  During the class you will have access to a wide range of texture materials and tools to emboss or etch antique brass and be shown how to create a two-tone colour finish.
  

  The kit contains all of the pieces & materials you need to create 3 pendants and 3 pairs of earrings.

  Tools Required: All tools for this class will be provided – but if you have chain nose and flat nose pliers please bring them with you. Please also bring latex gloves if you do not wish to have black marks on your fingers.

  Crochet Rope Bangle - Joanne Ivy

  Level: Intermediate - Must be able to crochet with yarn.

  Master a bead crochet rope. Often a tricky technique to master, Jo will get you going in the right direction with tips, tricks and ideas to go beyond the project taught in class.

  Techniques: Slip stitch tubular bead crochet

  Details: You will receive a practice piece to work on and for a small fee you can keep this sample. Please note this sample is for right handers only.
  

  The pattern will be simple so you can easily see if you are doing it right. Some threading of beads during the workshop will be required. You can make a bangle by creating a seamless join, and this is what the kit is for, or you might want to make it in to a bracelet or necklace. You can decide this on the day.

  This project is a great ‘stash buster’ as you can use your own colours, a selection of beads and small embellishments. Details about how to purchase your ‘Painted Lady’ will be in the requirements list.
  

  Techniques: Peyote stitching, gluing and embellishment.

  This will not be completed in class, but the techniques taught will enable completion later.

  Let your inner Picasso out in this class to have some fun with colour, creating your own unique designs to turn into earrings, pendants or as a focal in your next design.
  

  Techniques: Leather texturing and cutting, and painting of leather and filigree metal.

  During the class you will have access to a wide range of paints to create your own designs on both leather and metal filigree. In addition to this you will have access to a wide range of tools and texture plates to add dimension to the leather.

  Bijouterie Bracelet is a project using the very popular glass carrier beads, odd count peyote and stringing. Using either the larger sized or smaller carrier beads,  you will create a unique, personalised bracelet with a toggle/string closure, simple to wear that will be much admired.

  This will not be completed in class, but the techniques taught will enable completion later.
