With COVID-19 impacting our ability to host in person workshops and meetings, the Bead Society of Victoria is hosting a range of Zoom ‘get togethers’ for members.

For all Virtual meetings/workshops, the Meeting link, ID and password will be sent via email to all members no later than 3 days prior to the meeting.

We are also hosting Virtual workshops with local and international tutors, which will be available for members and non members, depending on the type of event. Details of those will be available here.

Virtual bead alongs are being organised on a regular basis. Details of those are also available here.

Our regular monthly meetings will be in person subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

Virtual UFO Beading Nights are held every Wednesday night from 7pm and one Saturday morning a month. The meeting ID and password are emailed to Members.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of classes by BSV or Tutor-

1. Where no kit has been supplied and event is cancelled by the BSV or the Tutor, class will be transferred to another date. If participant is unable to or does not wish to attend on the new date, full refund to apply.

2. Where kits have been supplied and event is cancelled by the BSV or the Tutor, class will be transferred to another date. If participant is unable to or does not wish to attend on the new date, option to return the kit to be given and full refund of class fee.

International Tutors Zoom classes-

1. Participant has paid for the class and ordered a kit from the tutor – No refund, but they can elect to give their class space and kit to another person.

2. Participant has paid for the class and NOT ordered a kit , cancels up to 14 days before the class- $20 Admin fee to apply.

3. Participant has paid for the class and NOT ordered a kit and cancels within 14 days of the class 50% refund of class fee.

Local Tutors Zoom and in person classes-

Local Tutor Classes without a mandatory kit –

1. Participant cancels up to 14 days prior to the class a $20 admin fee to apply

2. Participant cancels within 14 days prior to the class a 50% refund of class fee.

Local Tutor Classes with a mandatory kit –

1. Participant cancels up to 14 days prior to the class a $20 admin fee to apply

2. Participant cancels within 14 days prior to the class a 50% refund of class fee and full payment of the kit to the tutor is required. Ordered kit will be supplied to the participant along with the pattern. At this stage the Tutor would have prepared the kit and outlaid funds.

BSV Library

The Bead Society has a large Library of book, magazines, and other miscellaneous items such as booklets and DVDs.

These can be borrowed in person from the Carnegie meeting.
