WILD ROSE: A Three-Dimensional Layered Bead Embroidery Class Discover the art of dimensional bead embroidery as you create your own stunning 3D Wild Rose! In this class, you’ll learn expert layering techniques to bring your beadwork to life with depth and dimension. Inspired by the bold outlines and vibrant colours of traditional tattoos, designer Catriona Starpins will guide you through the intricate details of shaping and shading your rose. Whether you turn your finished piece into a brooch, hair barrette, or pendant, this striking design is sure to stand out. What You’ll Learn: How to create 3D effects in bead embroidery Layering techniques for depth and dimension Shading with beads and colour transitions How to bezel the centre component Back stitching and couching bead embroidery techniques Finishing your piece including how to neatly attach hidden findings, backing and edging your work.
TECHNIQUES: 3D Layered Bead Embroidery
SKILL LEVEL: Novice to advanced – Some experience with bead embroidery and bezelling with peyote stitch would be an advantage.
COST: $90
KIT: Mandatory Kits $40 -Due to the precise layering and shading techniques, a kit is mandatory for this class to ensure the best results.

Students will also need:
Beading Thread, Fireline is best for this project,
Straw size 11 needles,
Thread Zap/Lighter for cutting and burning ends of thread off.
Sharp scissors for trimming thread,
Lacys stiff stuff, Ultrasuede and felt.
Beading Mat/tray,
Small tube of E6000 Glue,
Jewellery chain nose pliers, for passing the needle through multiple layers of work,
Thimble,
Good Beading Light and Magnification if required.
