Want to take your bead embroidery designs to the next dimension? Come along to this Virtual class with Catriona and bring to life your very own dimensional bead embroidered Scarab Beetle. This versatile brooch can also be worn as a pendant, simply thread a chain through the bail at the top.
The brooch/pendant will be taught in this six-hour workshop over two three-hour sessions. The first session will cover learning to bezel your cabochon, how to build the dimensional head shape, eye placement and make a start on your bead embroidered wings.
Between sessions, students will be required to complete some homework so that during the second session we can work on construction and finishing. Please do not expect to complete your brooch in the class. Students will be provided with full PDF step by step instructions, including photographs to help you complete your brooch at your own pace. All parts of the brooch will be demonstrated during the zoom sessions and Catriona is in email contact after the class for any questions you may have completing your piece.
