Showcase 2016 - "Inspired By"

The "Inspired By" Section gives everyone a chance to display their creative BSV work. This includes any beading, wire, metal, or Polymer work produced during the year.

Members are encouraged to display projects that they have made from kits, downloaded from the internet or from magazines or books.

Examples could also include pieces made in workshops at the Expo, Retreat or with international tutors. This is a great opportunity to show off your technical skills. These pieces cannot be offered for sale, as the member does not own the copyright.

A limit of three entries per member will be accepted.

Names of members who enter this section will be entered into a draw for a prize to be announced at the Bead Expo.

The technical stuff:

  • Entry to any of the six Showcase categories is for financial members of the BSV only.
  • Please use the invoice number listed on your first Invoice email as the identification number of your exhibit. Ensure that this number appears on all packaging as well as tagged on your entry along with your name and address.
  • Collection of items will take place at the October Geelong and Melbourne meetings.
  • Registration of entries must be completed online by Friday 7th October 2016.  Registered entries may be delivered in person at the BSV Geelong Branch Meeting on Sunday 2nd October 2016 or at the Melbourne Branch Meeting on Sunday 9th October, 2016.
  • Posted items must reach the Post Office box by Friday, 7th October 2016. If you wish your items to be posted back, you MUST INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED PRE-PAID POST PACK.
  • Each item should be properly packaged to avoid damage.  We cannot accept any loose items at the meeting. See tips on Packaging your Entries.
  • No items will be available for collection at the Expo.  They must either be returned by mail or collected at a BSV meeting in Geelong or at Carnegie.  Exhibitors must specify which meeting they prefer.  This is to reduce the risk of items being misplaced.
  • There will also be a Melbourne meeting this year at Carnegie on 13th November. Any item not collected at the Melbourne Branch Meeting on 11th December 2016 will be returned COD.
  • Members are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the BSV.
