Expo Highlights

Exhibitors from Australia-wide selling beads, gems and findings come to the Expo each year.  It is Australia's largest bead show!  See an exciting range of hand crafted beads, gemstones, seed beads, findings and all jewellery related creative supplies, all under the one roof.


We also have inspiring exhibitions of Bead Society of Victoria members' work, which gets bigger and better each year.

Expo 2017 Workshops - Check them out now


 All workshops are now listed, with many different mediums available and something to  suit all skill levels.

 Bookings will open to members on July 2nd and to the general public on July  15th. Don't miss out on this opportunity to explore new skills.


 A variety of workshops are on offer, with some starting the weekend prior to the     Expo and held at the normal Melbourne meeting rooms in Carnegie.


 Workshops held on the Expo weekend will be located on the Holmesglen    Institute campus in the Corporate Suites, a short distance away from the Expo in the   Conference Centre. Parking is also available there for workshop participants.




Members' Exhibition


The Bead Society of Victoria hosts a number of competitions for the Melbourne Bead Expo. Only available to current BSV members, competitions are a great way to stretch your creative muscles and apply yourself in new ways. From wearable items to creating a set of individual beads, there is an area for everyone to enjoy.


All exhibition sections on display at the Expo with many truly artistic pieces for sale.


Registrations are open now, pieces to be handed in at the October 8th meeting.

Bead Challenge 


If you haven't already entered this exciting competition, there is still time to do so and take up the challenge.


Open the door to creative success with this inspiring, bronzed assortment of shaped Czech beads, semi-precious hematite beads and a vintage style metal key. Add your own choice of extra beads or findings to the basic pack for a chance to win fabulous monetary prizes.

Don't miss viewing the results of all entries in this fabulous competition on display at the Expo. If you vote for your favourite piece, you have a chance to win a voter's prize. Make sure you do this by 1 pm Sunday to have your vote count. Winners of the Challenge will be announced at 2.30 pm.
